Organize private photos into separate albums on iPhone
Plan private albums without mixing up vault copies and your Photos library.

Choose a small set of useful albums
Use categories you will recognize later, such as personal memories or reference images. Avoid putting private details in album names if someone could see your screen. PhotoSafe provides private album organization, with additional capacity available through Pro.
Import a small batch
Start with a few sample photos, confirm that each opens, and place them in the intended album. Importing does not automatically erase copies in Photos, messages, shared albums, or other apps.
Keep a recovery plan
Private organization does not replace backup planning. Before switching devices, reinstalling an app, or removing originals, check the current app’s support instructions and confirm you can recover the files you need.
Review access settings
Choose a private PIN and check the app’s lock behavior. Optional biometrics make access convenient on supported devices, but you should still understand the PIN and recovery requirements.
